The State of MN has mandated a change to the biodiesel blend requirement starting May 1, 2018. In previous years, the mandate required the use of B10 biodiesel from April 1 through September 30. For 2018, we will be selling B10 from April 1 to April 30 and will be transitioning to B20 from May 1 through September 30 as per the requirement. On October 1, we go back to B5 until April 1, 2019 at which time we are mandated to sell B20 again and the cycle continues. Currently, all #1 winter fuels are exempt from the biodiesel mandate as well as home heating fuel oil. If you have any questions about this mandate, please get in touch with us at either energy location in Buffalo Lake at 320-833-3009 or in Sleepy Eye at 507-794-5831. All CRC energy personnel have been educated on the mandate changes and will be able to confidently answer your questions.
Fuel Tank Maintenance
Fuel tank maintenance is crucial now more than ever. CRC would like to encourage everyone to have a pressure cap assembly on their storage tanks in lieu of a flip cap and to change your filters every spring and fall. To help you with tank maintenance, we are offering to sample the fuel remaining in your tank for any existing contaminants when making deliveries. If this is something you are interested in, please contact your local energy office.
