The board of directors of Central Region Cooperative have signed an asset purchase agreement with River Country Cooperative for the sale of the Hector C-Store with a targeted closing date of October 24, 2017.
River Country Cooperative of Inver Grove Heights, MN traces its origin to March 14, 1935, when 66 people who contributed $502 of seed money formed Farmers Union Cooperative Oil Association of South St Paul, Minnesota. From those roots in the energy business, River Country Cooperative has expanded into the areas of agronomy, feed and convenience stores. River Country Cooperative currently operates ten C-Stores located in:
- St. Francis, MN
- Inver Grove Heights, MN
- New Prague, MN
- Lake Elmo, MN
- Lakeville, MN
- Kenyon, MN
- Miesville, MN
- East Bethel, MN
- South St. Paul, MN
- Apple Valley, MN
Concerning the Central Region Cooperative business office located within the C-Store, Renee Anderson will be moving to our Buffalo Lake office and Dan Filzen will be moving to our Fairfax office after the sale takes place. Central Region Cooperative cardtrol or local card holders will be able to continue to use their cards at the Buffalo Lake cardtrol site. Central Region Cooperative local cards will no longer be valid at the Hector C-Store beginning October 24, 2017. In the near future, Central Region Cooperative will notify all cardholders on the process of applying for a local card from River Country Cooperative to use at the Hector store.
We would like to thank all of our employees at the C-Store for their years of service, hard work and dedication to customer service, which made the Hector C-Store a go to place in our community. We could not have been as successful without our extraordinary team at the C-Store.
