Update on Buffalo Lake repairs.
Contractors are working hard to get the Silos location operational. Wind and weather has slowed progress a few days from what we were thinking last week. It is now looking more like the middle of next week before we are able to take wetter corn. Hopefully they get some calmer days ahead. There are still a lot of construction crew members on site so remember to be aware of your surroundings and slow down when driving through the facility.
Soybeans;
- We are currently full of soybeans at the silos.
- All beans will need to go to the East house.
- We are also taking beans to Hector or Fairfax.
- We are expecting a bean shuttle early next week in Buffalo Lake. That will give us plenty of space for the bean crop yet to be delivered.
- We will be taking corn up to 18% moisture at Buffalo Lake.
- We will be taking wet corn, over 18% moisture, at the Hector or Fairfax locations until the dryer conveyors are completed.
- The price differential between Hector and Buffalo Lake will be removed until repairs are completed.
- We will update you as to when we will be able to receive wet corn, over 18%, in Buffalo Lake.
- We are now estimating the operational date for receiving wet corn in Buffalo Lake to be around October 20th. I will keep you updated.
Please call with any questions or concerns.

Update on Buffalo Lake repairs.
Contractors are working hard to get the Silos location operational. The plan as of today is to have the equipment in place so that we will be able to receive corn, wet and dry, at the Silos location by October 15th. There are still a lot of construction crew members on site so remember to be aware of your surroundings and slow down when driving through the facility.

- We are also taking beans to Hector or Fairfax.
- The lines are getting long at Buffalo Lake. We have received a record amount of beans in Buffalo Lake so far this year. So lines are expected to continue until bean harvest wraps up. Thanks for your patience.
- We will be taking dry corn to the east house until repairs are completed.
- We will be taking corn up to 18% moisture at Buffalo Lake. Please call before delivery.
- We will be taking wet corn, over 18% moisture, at the Hector or Fairfax locations until the dryer conveyors are completed.

Central Region Cooperative will be continuing to repair the Buffalo Lake facility throughout the harvest season. The May 12th storms that went through our area destroyed our wet, dry legs and several overhead conveyors and the electrical control room at the west silos location. All the new equipment is onsite and contractors will be onsite throughout harvest finishing repairs. There will be a lot of construction and electrician crew members on site so we ask for your cooperation as they do their jobs. Everyone’s safety is our main concern. Please slow down and be aware of your surroundings when you drive through the facility. We will continue to update you on any changes.
